Question 1A

Key Words:

Digital Technology: Digital media is digitized content that can be transmitted over the internet or computer networks. This can include text, audio, video, and graphics. This means that news from a TV network, newspaper, magazine, etc. that is presented on a Web site or blog can fall into this category.

Post-production: This includes tasks such as the editing of raw footage to cut scenes, insert transition effects, working with voice and sound actors, and dubbing, to name a few of the many pre-production tasks. Post-production is the third and final step in film creation.

Using media conventions: Codes are systems of signs, which create meaning. Codes can be divided into two categories – technical and symbolic. Technical codes are all the ways in which equipment is used to tell the story in a media text, for example the camera work in a film.

I started off with creating my preliminary task, It was a way of me experimenting and showing what I was able to create, I have a better understanding on how we use In-design as each time I learn new things.

We had to create a front page and content page, to show what we were able to create and it meant that the front page and the content page was divide into two sections and not over crowned with too much stuff.

I felt that doing it on two pages gave the magazine a different affect and made it stand out. Furthermore, it shows that there is loads of different things happening.

The colours I had used was to do with the logo, meaning it had a presentation towards something and also meant that it was about "Haydon News".

We had gone round the school and taken a range of images of students, food and the buildings. This was for us to have a clear understanding on how to use the camera's and learn new things about them, it also meant that we were able to think about what we could write and include in the magazine.

The next step we had to do, was start planing on what I was going to include in my magazine. First we started of with a mood board which shows what time of images and ideas I would include in my magazine. Then there was audience feedback and a proposal which was telling someone telling me their opinion towards it and then a proposal which was me giving my speech and opinion on what I was going to do. After there was masthead design, equipment, props&costume, which is all similar it was just including what things I was going to include. Furthermore, then was then new media ideas and promotional methods which meant I had to talk about what sort of medias would attract my audience and what sort of way would I promote my magazine. Time laps and Images and contact was just the images I had taken and some sort of ideas on what images I was going to be using. Model Release was for me to get the approval from the performers to use the images. I also included, the audience feedback to what people felt was good and bad about my magazine. Lastly I also got a proposal feedback which meant I got an idea on what was good and bad and what people felt of it.
